A little project a friend of mine and I are working on.
Basically we're doing a 2 people MAP, to the song ''Meet me in the woods
The plot of the animation is that James draws a comic of a character/friend or family doing something together (which I animate) and then it transitions to the comic coming to life while James is in his shadow/celestial form (they'll animate this part).
They're teaching me to put videos together, so I thought it'd be a perfect opportunity to make some Fun Cutecookies stuff.
But I wouldn't be telling people this for no reason, here's the catch. I'd like to put your characters in the video!
There are a few rules for characters that aren't allowed:
Please keep it to animals (anthro or feral) /mythical creatures, even though the characters don't have to fit into the Cutecookies universe because James is imagining them, James has no concept of humans and doesn't know what a human is, so it's very unlikely he'd think up a bunch of humans to spend time with. Same goes for any human-like creatures (Elf, vampire, WW Rito, ect).
Please keep the designs relatively simple and easy to draw, not just because I suck but the video with a cartoony style and it's a little bit farfetched to believe a 10-year-old fluffy bear, could draw your extremely complex Raptor-dragon OC hybrid. Same goes for colour, try not to submit an OC with the entire rainbow in its fur, feathers or scales.
They have to be your OC (or a friend's OC you have permission to use), fan characters are okay, just as long as they aren't literal recolors of an existing character in canon.
No heterochromia (mismatched eye colours, scars over one eye causing the eye to look milky, is fine) and please keep it to characters with two eyes (unless the character has lost one or both their eyes). I don't see it as a big deal (although I don't really like it) but my partner thinks it's a lazy way to make your character special '(and is visually unappealing, 99% of the time) and refuses to draw characters with those features. The only exception to this rule is if the character has hair covering their eyes.
If you want your character in the animation, give me this information (if there is no * that means it's optional):
Picture or reference (Yes, I need this regardless of whether I know who your character is or not, descriptions are not accepted, please give a picture)*
A description of your character's personality.
Name that you like to be used to credit you for intro and the character's name.*
What you want James and your OC to do (warning, you may not end up with what you want, if it doesn't fit).
What part of the song you want (same goes here).
Please keep in mind that I may reject you for a reason not stated. My partner may refuse to draw your character due to personal reasons or because it was too difficult to animate. I'll try to let you know why but you might not always be told.
